25-year-old man stabbed to death

A 25-year-old man has been stabbed to death.

Reports indicate that around 5pm on Sunday, Mahendra Moonsammy of Indian Walk, Moruga got into an altercation with another man.

During the fracas, Moonsammy was dealt several stabs about the body.

He ran to his home where he collapsed.

The 25-year-old man was taken to the Princes Town District Health Facility where he succumbed to his injuries.

Couva Chamber president attacked and stabbed at businessplace

President of the Couva/Point Lisas Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Liaquat Ali has been stabbed by a man at his Couva business place.

However, he was treated at the San Fernando General Hospital and has been discharged.

Ali is the owner of Old Mac Agro Supplies Limited and Trinidad Parboil Limited.

Ali was approached by a man who pulled out a knife as the two got into a heated argument.

He was first taken to the Couva Distratic Hospital and then transferred to the San Fernando General Hospital for treatment.

Man stabbed to death in Port-of-Spain pub

Police are investigating the stabbing death of a man at a Port-of-Spain pub around 5.30 Thursday morning.

Police say the victim, Nicholas Jeffers of Carenage, was at a pub on Luis Street when he got into an altercation with a man.

The man is believed to have taken out a knife and stabbed the victim several times before fleeing the scene.

The victim was rushed to the Port-of-Spain General Hospital where he died.

Port-of-Spain CID and Homicide officers are investigating.

Woman stabbed to death in Carenage

One woman is dead and her common-law husband fighting for his life after an incident this morning at their Carenage home.

According to reports around 2am, the couple's daughter was awoken by screams coming from the master bedroom.

Upon investigating she found her mother, Andrea Edwards lying in a pool of blood, with several stab wounds about her body. 

She died on the scene. 

The girl's father, Rawl Savory, was rushed to West Shore Medical Centre where he is said to be in a critical condition.

Homicide officers are continuing investigations.

Fuad Abu Bakr stabbed in attack at his home

Fuad Abu Bakr, son of Jamaat al Muslimeen leader Imam Yasin Abu Bakr has been stabbed.

According to reports, Bakr was leaving his La Puerta home in Diego Martin when a man approached him armed with a sharp object.

An altercation ensued and Bakr was stabbed in the arm.

He managed to escape on foot and ran to a neighbour's house for assistance.

He was taken to West Shore Medical Complex where he received stitches.

According to his wife Kristy, Bakr, who is also the leader of the New Nation Vision political party is resting comfortably at this time.

Man killed in religious dispute

A 36-year-old man was stabbed and killed during a religious dispute in Arouca last night.

He has been identified as Clint Julien, of Maturita, Arima.

Reports indicate that he was with a group of persons who were conducting religious preaching on the roadway when they had an altercation with a man of another denomination.

A scuffle ensued and the man pulled out a knife and stabbed Julien in the stomach.

He died a short while after.

Investigations are continuing.
