The funeral service for Vaughn “Sandman” Mieres and his wife Alika “Letty” Dehere can not be held at the Las Cuevas Government Primary School, Minister of Education Anthony Garcia confirmed on Wednesday.
On Tuesday a digital flyer began circulating on social media announcing the funeral service for Mieres and his wife would be held at the school on Friday.
The Minister explained that no funeral have ever been held in schools around the country, and this service would not be the one to set a precedent.

Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley and Tobago East MP Ayanna Webster-Roy are among hundreds of mourners currently gathered at the Montgomery Moravian Church in Bethel, Tobago for the funeral of double murder victims John "Joker" Mills, 69, and Eulyn John, 61.
The couple was found murdered in the bedroom of their Cocrico Avenue, Buccoo home, on May 2.
An autopsy confirmed that both had been strangled to death.
Mills was a friend and former classmate of Dr Rowley.
With a single red rose in hand, 21-year-old Justin Francette waited anxiously for permission to attend the funeral of his three-year-old son Prince Francette who died in a car explosion last Friday.
However, the distraught father never got the chance to say goodbye on Wednesday.
Prince’s mother Maria Granger told police she did not want to see Francette at the funeral because he never assisted Prince when he was alive.
Justin Francette, the father of three-year-old Prince Francette will not be at his son's funeral today.
Prince will be buried at the Tableland Public cemetery after a funeral service at a relative's Gafoor Trace, Tableland home.
In an interview, Amanda Granger who raised Prince from birth after his parents separated, said Justin was not welcomed at the funeral.
"We do not want him here. Up to now they never asked one question about funeral arrangements. They never gave one cent for the funeral. All he did was make him," Amanda said.
