The American Chamber of Commerce of Trinidad & Tobago (AMCHAM T&T) has joined in the congratulations of Paula-Mae Weekes, who has become the nation’s 6th President – and the first female to hold this office.
The American Chamber of Commerce is once again urging parliamentarians to pass the FATCA legislation in Parliament when the matter is debated on Thursday.
The bill is likely to go to a vote tomorrow and will require a special three-fifths majority to be passed.

The 7% tax is due to take effect on Thursday morning.
