The IAAF World Indoor Championships raced off this morning with four T&T delegates taking the track.
In the Women’s 60M event, both Kelly-Ann Baptiste and Michelle-Lee Ahye qualified for the semifinal races. Baptiste finished fifth in her heat with a time of 7.25 seconds and Ahye placed second in her race with 7.23 seconds.
The Men’s 400M qualifiers saw Deon Lendore earn automatic qualification with a second place finish and a time of 46.68 seconds. He will be joined by Asa Guevara whose fifth-place time of 46.92 was enough to see him through to the next round.
All four semi-final races are carded for later this afternoon along with the Shot Put final which features Cleopatra Borel.
