Water disruptions in South-East Trinidad on Thursday

The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) is advising customers in parts of South East Trinidad, served by the Navet Water Treatment Plant that there will be a disruption in their pipe borne water supply on Thursday 7th September 2017 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

WASA said this has become necessary due to a planned power interruption by the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) that will affect the operation of the water treatment plant and associated booster stations in the Tabaquite area.

Areas to be affected include:

§ Princes Town and environs New Grant

§ Malgretoute Barrackpore

§ Williamsville Borde Narve

§ Buen Intento St. Mary’s

§ Manahambre Piparo

§ Rio Claro Marabella

§ Tabaquite Gasparillo

§ Diamond Village Golconda

§ Vistabella Ste. Madeline

§ Cocoyea Penal Rock Road

§ Guaracara

Customers are being asked to manage their water use efficiently, as it may take 8 to 12 hours for the supply to normalize to some affected areas, after the plant returns to full operation.
