Police, acting on information, have arrested two men who were seated in a vehicle parked at KFC located at St Lucien Road, Diego Martin, armed with weapons.
The men were held by officers of the Western Division Task Force, during an anti-crime exercise, in the Diego Martin district, yesterday.
The exercise, spearheaded by Supt. Peter Dominique, and supervised by Cpl Nicholas Nurse, was conducted between 5 pm and 8:30 pm, on Tuesday 13th February, 2018, during which officers received a report of suspects armed with guns, seen in the vicinity of the fast food outlet.
Upon arrival, the officers observed a silver Nissan Tiida motor vehicle, with two male occupants, parked in the car park of the establishment.
A search of the suspects; a 20-year-old man and a 22-year-old man, both of Diego Martin, resulted in one Glock 17 pistol, loaded with a magazine, containing 15 rounds of 9mm ammunition and one Glock 34 pistol, loaded with a magazine, containing 15 rounds of 9mm ammunition, being found in their possession.
The suspects were arrested in connection with the finds.
