Transport Minister Rohan Sinanan says the Police Service and the Transport Commissioner are conducting two separate investigations into Tuesday’s horrific accident, which saw two people being killed and 48 others injured.
On Friday, the minister, along with officials from PTSC, Licensing Division and the Works Ministry attended the funeral service for pensioner Tara Baboolal the 66-year-old who died instantly when a delivery truck crossed the median of the Uriah Butler Highway and crashed into a PTSC Bus headed in the opposite direction. She was a passenger on the bus. The pensioner's loved ones and relatives all gathered for her cremation under Hindu rites.
