Classes to resume at Princes Town & St Joseph Secondary Schools on Monday

The Ministry of Education says that a delegation from the Ministry and other stakeholders visited the Princes Town Secondary School today and met with teachers and other staff members to discuss plans to resume classes at the school. 

The Ministry says that classes for Forms 4 & 5 will start on Monday 15th January, 2018 while students of Forms 1 to 3 are expected to resume classes on Monday 22nd January, 2018.

The Education Facilities Company Limited (EFCL) was mandated to ensure that all works are completed for the resumption of these classes. 

The Ministry's team included Minister Anthony Garcia, Minister Dr Lovell Francis, Permanent Secretaries Lenor Baptiste- Simmons and Angela Sinaswee-Gervais, Deputy Permanent Secretary Kurt Meyer, school supervisors and representatives from EFCL.     

TTUTA President, Lynsley Doodhai and other TTUTA officials and NPTA President Raffeina Ali Boodoosingh and members of her parent body were also part of the meetings. 
Minister Garcia also advised that the St Joseph Secondary School will reopen on Monday 15th January, 2018.
