Commissioner: Amnesty poses clear and present danger

Police Commissioner Gary Griffith says the Venezuelan amnesty poses a clear and present danger of nationals coming here and joining forces with criminal elements.

He believes this will seriously hurt the police service in trying to maintain law and order.

He adds that while it is good the state is being charitable, he says once those who are granted amnesty are involved in a criminal offence, they should be immediately deported.
